CJPD is the Department under the Integral Human Development (IHD) whose role is to promote Justice and Peace in light of the Gospel. Through the social teaching of the Catholic Church the department works to raise awareness, conscientize, sensitize and empower individuals, groups and communities in social justice, peace building and conflict resolution. The Department also organizes seminars on civic education and Lenten campaign activities in the parishes. It is headed by a coordinator and support staff.
